Sears, Roebuck & Co. has agreed to pay $100,000 to settle a discrimination lawsuit filed by an African-American female employee who worked at several Sears stores in Oklahoma City. The woman claimed in her suit that during her 28-year employment, she “was passed over for promotion to supervisor several times in favor of younger, less experienced, white males.” She also claims she was terminated in 2010 after complaining about the discriminatory practices.  Staff Report, Kansas City Info Zine
